(Creators note: This character, I actually created as a Mutant in an alternate Marvel universe. She works as an agent of a man called William Warrent gather information about assorted Super heroes and villians around the world. A dangerous profession, as many of these heroes and villians do not like that their secrets are being revealed. She went to school at the X mansion.
She is thought to be an Albino, but she is not a true one as her eyes are not pink.)
Name: Aliara Aniko Robertson
Alias: Cipher
Age: 31
Height: 5’0”
Weight: 95 lbs
Eye color: black-brown
Hair color: ash white
Skin color: translucent white
General Appearance: Keeps her hair a-symmetrical, one side longer than the other, wears a lot of dark clothing; leathers and vinyl when she goes out, sweats and t-shirts when she stays in to work. She’s very pretty, but tends to be more gothic in style.
Personality: She’s very easy to be around, with a magnetic personality and friendly ways. She will go out of her way to make someone feel better. She is very protective of her loved ones, especially her 10 year old daughter Tarja and her biological cousin and adopted son 13 year old Alex. She has many friends that she’s made over the years, a good number of powerful allies that owe her favors, and several intricately created safety nets in case things get rocky.
Quirks: Believes that she is cursed with bad luck after she accidentally shattered a hall of mirrors at a carnival the night her mutations made themselves known. Since then, she looks at the world in almost a paranoid way, for instance, making sure that when she’s walking in the city, there is nothing suspended above her head. This includes, but is not limited too: fire escapes, potted plants, any furniture of any kind, people, and anvils that are accompanied by a picket sign that says ‘splat’. She also has bad luck keeping jobs, and is currently working as a maid for ‘Happy Maids Inc.’, along with her job of discovering and keeping record of weaknesses and strengths of the many super heroes of the world, and being lead singer in a band (which is good enough to be signed under a record label, but because of said bad luck, it has not happened yet).
Fears: That one day, some angry superheroes/supervillians will break down her door and kill her because she is exploiting their weaknesses and strengths for money. However, since the happy maids job doesn’t pay very well, and she doesn’t make much money singing without a record label, she sticks with the job because it is the only thing she’s good at, even though the pay is generally shite as well.
Weapons: She has several weapons she has traded money for from her Alternate timeline twin, Bryn Harper, which she turns around and sells most of the time.
Distinguishable Marks: none except her pale skin, an intricate, black tribal tattoo of the world and some of it’s more distinguishable beauties on her back, which has appeared in several tattoo magazines and won an award for detail, creativity, and beauty, Arm socks, and several other smaller tattoos on her person.
Quote: “Sometimes you've got to specifically go out of your way to get into trouble. It's called fun.”—Robin Williams.
History: Aliara Aniko Robertson was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to Lars Robertson and Sigrid Kerrisdadt Robertson. Born breach and premature, she was dead for ten minutes before she opened her eyes to the world.
Both parents being artists, she learned from a small age the beauty that the world had to offer. She had a great love for music and art, was constantly singing. Those that met her loved her instantly, for she was a kind and caring person, who liked to make people happy.
Their small family emigrated to the United States when she was ten. Though Sigrid wanted to home school her, Aliara insisted on going to public school. She fast became friends with many of the people her class, the students choosing to go to her for advice, friendship, and a shoulder to cry on. She knew things that others did not, kept secrets extremely well, and remembered everything.
With her remarkable memory, she excelled in her studies. She was fluent in Scandinavian, Spanish, Russian, Romanian, Hungarian, Dutch, German, French, and English. Her skills with the computer gave her teachers something to brag about, and much to her annoyance, they used her as an example of how to do things. Thankfully, her peers did not hate her for it.
Things took a turn for the worse for her when she reached the age of 14. While at a carnival with friends, her best friend Thomas told her that he loved her while they were walking around a hall of mirrors. When he kissed her, it felt like her brain was exploding in her skull and the mirrors shattered, the pieces flying madly through the air as if they had a life of their own, and injured her, Thomas, and two other teenagers that were with them. To make matters worse, by the time the paramedics arrived, she had fully healed without a scratch or scar and was found cowering in a corner. The paramedics could not get close to her; it was almost as if there was an invisible barrier between her and them. After an hour of coaxing, they were able to take her to the hospital.
After the hall of mirrors incident, her parents, ill-equipped and unhappy that their frightened daughter was a mutant, met with two women from a school in Westchester, NY, the one Jean Grey and the other Ororo Munroe. Aliara left with them to begin a new life after being shunned at school the first day she tried to come back.
She made friends easily once again, and learned how to use her mutation, which included amazing kinetic and psychic abilities, the most prominent one being telemechanics.
The remainder of her time at the school was happy.
At the age of 19, she became pregnant with her daughter from Conrad Vale, known as Maelstrom, another mutant who stayed at the X mansion for an extremely short time before dying at the hands of the Brotherhood.
Tarja Vale Robertson was born and Aliara left New York with her to live in California. Not long after that, news that her parents and her visiting aunt and uncle had died in a car wreck reached her, and she took her four year old cousin Alex and adopted him.
She met up with a man named William Warrant, and was hired on as a datakeeper, the job being to record the weaknesses and strengths of the superheroes and villains of the world. These records were sold to those heroes/villains that wanted the information. Unfortunately, the job was not enough to support her and her children in California, and she took up a second job as a house maid for a housekeeping franchise.
After two years living in California, she met four guys and started a band with them. It was never meant as a lucrative experience, more of a way to unwind, though they had been told several times that they were good enough to get a label. When they were old enough, Aliara sent Tarja and Alex to a boarding school in Switzerland to keep them safe, knowing that if the wrong person found out her first job, she could be in great danger.
Very few people know that Alex and Tarja exist. She travels to see them every month for sometimes a week at a time, which explains why she has so little money all the time, but it is something she refuses to cut back on. Both kids understand why they are kept separate from their mother, and they understand how difficult it is for her.
Though Alex is beginning to show psychic abilities, Tarja has yet to exhibit a mutant gene, as young as she is.
Aliara is excellent with computers, good at hacking, and does extremely well with her job.
