Landon Sullivan
The Basics
Full Name Landon Joseph Sullivan
Age Twenty-one
Birthday September 4, 1987
Astrological sign Virgo
Family Loves his family pretty well. His mother Rosa is kind, tends to be the overly motherly type, baking and cleaning and such. His father, William, is much more traditional and works (as he had all his life) as an insurance salesman. Landon has made a comment more than once about how living in his house was much like growing up in the 1950s. He has three siblings, all older than him. Laura, 29, is newly married and works as a florist in London. Matthew, 26, is a banker like his parents would have liked himself to be. And finally Scott, 23, just finishing college with the hope of becoming a history teacher. Despite how different they all are he loves them (even though they were all less than supportive when he began his 'career').
Friends Pretty tight pals with the members of his band, it's a bit rough for him to make friends as close as they are now. He's getting considerably better at the socializing thing, so that could be one advantage to the sudden popularity.
Lovers Girlfriend he's had since highschool, Julie Mitchell. He's pretty committed to her, even if she's a bit controlling. He's grown used to her mostly.
Preference Women, though he's only been with Julie so far as relationships go. Never really thought about the possibility of not being straight. Who knows, it could happen. Though at the moment he's in denial, he's most likely bisexual.
Music He'll listen to a lot of different genres. Not one of those 'I like anything but country, rap, etc'. Gives anything a chance, though he doesn't particularly hate anything music-wise. To put it simply he likes 'anything good'.
Alcohol/Cigarettes/Drugs? Smokes cigarettes occasionally when he's stressed. He's quit about three times, it's not that hard for him. Delved into drugs, just marijuana so far considering he doesn't want to end up some washed up drug addict. A close friend of his had a drug problem for a while so he doesn't care to follow in his footsteps, even though he has his head together now. Alcohol is probably the worst for him. It's hard to avoid and that mixed with some pot does make the performances and interviews just float by.
Likes Music (obviously), doodling, women (well, his girlfriend-- she gets jealous easily), alcohol, sleep, tea, singing, weed (occasionally), sex (who doesn't), playing computer solitaire, and London.
Dislikes Travel, hangovers, groupies, when he's harrassed consistantly by fans, getting lost, being the centre of attention, losing things, closed-mindedness, cheaters, critics, racism, and rainy weather.
Appearance
Hair Dark brown, tendency to be wavy. Doesn't even get himself made up for publicity things, so his hair looks generally pretty messy most of the time.
Eyes Dark brown, despite his somewhat standoffish demeanor his eyes are kind.
Height 6'1", he looms above his band mates, tall and lanky.
Weight About 130 lbs. Landon is extremely skinny, it's hardly intentional. It's the travel, drugs he does occasionally (oddly he doesn't really get the munchies), the fact he plays a lot of shows and various other circumstances. He's not exactly as comfortable with his body image as he seems but no one needs to know that.
Ethnicity Half Sicilian on his mother's side, hence the slightly tanned complexion. Other half, his father's side, is pure English through and through.
Piercings and/or Tattoos Yes, some black bats on his left forearm/wrist. He was really drunk for that one. His parents had nearly had a heart attack when they saw them, considering he'd only been sixteen at the time and managed to get a tattoo artist that didn't particularly care that he was underage.
Notable Marks Not really anything too noteworthy. He often has scrapes here and there on his elbows or knees from performing since he gets a little into it. No birth marks or noticeable scars, luckily.
Excerpt from an interview with Landon Sullivan of 'The Social':
Any reason behind the band name?
LS: Um, well my buddy came up with it, we were just joking around but it stuck. Not much more to it than that.
Did you have a musical background before you started the band?
LS: I was pretty into music for a long time. Took piano lessons because my mum wanted me to know how to play, then I branched off from that and learned guitar. Never really thought I'd be a singer, but I guess things change.
Are you guys currently working on an EP?
LS: Yeah, well, you know how it goes. Hope to have one out by next fall but who knows, the touring gets in the way. I'll just say yes but don't hold me to it.
How is the tour going?
LS: Uh, it's pretty cool. Get to meet some new people, it's a good time.
What have been your biggest influences in your music?
LS: Influences? I guess... I don't know, we've been doing this since high school so we've kind of grown as a band since then. Does that answer your question? That was a fucking stupid answer wasn't it? I'm sorry, I don't even know what the fuck I'm saying.
What's one word would you say describes your music?
LS: Hm... psychotic? Shit, was that another stupid answer.
This is your first tour of America. How were you received with your first single released on radio recently?
LS: It's been good, the US is okay.
How would you describe your live shows to your US fans who haven't seen you perform yet?
LS: Pretty. Fucking. Bad.

Interesting Facts
Quit high school in his last year to concentrate more on the band. His grades were fantastic anyway and he'd had no intentions on going on to college, but his parents still could have murdered him for it. Never really felt like he belonged in front of a desk learning boring things like geometry and the human anatomy. Especially when from a very young age he knew he wanted to do something music related,
Despite the fact he has a girlfriend (only girlfriend, been together highschool) Landon has considered the idea of being bisexual. He hasn't acted on it, was just always curious about what it would be like.
Considering his chosen profession it's a bit strange that he absolutely abhors being interviewed or harrassed by fans. A lot of people love it but it's just not who he is. Oddly he possesses a completely different persona on stage than off. He appreciates his fans... just enjoys them more when he's in his state of mind during a gig, not so much afterwards.
Him, along with the rest of the band, have a somewhat odd fashion clothes-wise. It isn't completely intention. He doesn't exactly go all out when it comes to clothes and his hair is often a mess. All goes with the look, really, though he's been torn apart by critics before to just do it for attention. Either way Landon doesn't exactly give a shit what people think of him. If he did he would have given up on the dream a long time ago. He doesn't really care if he's 'original' or not. Just is who he is. Doesn't think other people really have the power to dictate to him how to look and dress.
A bit about me...
I'm Landon. You might know me, might not. I only say that because I'm in a fairly popular band now, well it's growing in popularity for now. Not really sure of what will happen for us in the future. It's called The Social, a name one of my mates came up with when we were trying to think of a name. It wasn't being used and it kind of grew on us after a while, so that's how that came about. Not the most fascinating story but we're really not as interesting as we're cracked up to be.
I've got a girlfriend back in London, her name is Julie. I love her pretty well, she's a bit bossy but I've kind of grown used of it. She means well. She's just been more paranoid lately about the fact other girls hit on me. Kind of funny I guess that she's the more protective one, though it gets aggravating sometimes. Especially when I'm traveling with the band and she calls me up to guilt trip me for not being around more. Some of my mates suggested I leave her, but I couldn't do that. I still love her. She's just changed. Then again, so have I.
Grew up in downtown London with three older siblings and both my parents. My parents were a bit traditional, I guess you could say. Pretty conservative. My mum's Sicilian, which is why I look the way I do mostly. My dad's the typical newspaper reading, teatime kind of Englishman. I had a fairly normal upbringing, so they're still pretty horrified over where I am now. Considering my brothers and sister are so 'normal', the only way I can really explain it is I must have gotten the fucked up gene. I'd like to think that everything I've done up until now has been worth it. Dropping out of high school wasn't easy, my parents have never been that mad ever I think. But oh well. They can deny it all they want, it's who I am and I can't really change that.
Thank you Shianne for the band name. I feel like I should credit you for that. Annnnnd for photoshopping the pics for me. You are da best. <3
