♥The Utter Basics♥ Name Christine
Nicknames I don't have any nicknames that have really stuck as most people just call me Christine. There are a few that will call me different, shorter variations of that. No one, however, is allowed to call me Christina. That never has, nor ever will be, my name.
Age 19 - I turn 20 the 21st of this month.
Occupation Student - University level English Literature major Mathematical Sciences and History minors
Species The going rumor is that I'm human, but some days I wonder.
Relationship Not that it matters, but I am currently, and seemingly forever, single. If I actually knew any guys I was interested in, I might have a problem with that, but considering I know no one that peaks my interest, I'm alright with being single. Besides, I have an awesome array of friends (including my older brother and his family) that keep me sane and pick on me. What more do I need?
The Unspeakables I know you're not supposed to talk about religion and politics, but I've never quite been one to follow the rules of the status quo anyway. How much can you really get to know a person if they always play it safe to keep others happy and they never say anything controversial? I am an ardent Christian who, despite being firm in my beliefs, respects others' rights to believe what they want or not believe at all. Being a Christian doesn't make me perfect or better than you anymore than studying makes you a prodigy. Just because I don't agree with something doesn't mean I'm going to condemn it or make comments in regards to people going to hell or whatever: 1. It is not my place to judge and 2. You can't win anything with hate or fear, only with love. As for the other source of unspeakability--I am a moderate conservative-ish person. I tend to keep my religion and my politics in two different baskets. And that is about all I'll say on either of those matters. I know my beliefs, but I refuse to argue about them, defend them, or try to persuade people to them. In that, I also ask you to show me the same respect, even if we don't agree.
Roleplaying I have been roleplaying for a few years now, though up until a little bit ago it was mostly sporadic. Though I work with a variety of different genres and characters, my favorite characters are my college-aged ones. Most of my own creations work with realistic plots.
♥Secondary Trifles♥
Books[/u] Almost anything I can get my hands on, especially: Jane Austen Joyride The French Lieutenant's Woman Books about Christianity. MusicCasting Crowns Fireflight Idina Menzel Josh Groban ♫ Kutless ♫ Martina McBride Michael Bublé Rascal Flatts Skillet ♫ Thousand Foot Krutch Movies[/u] Bourne Trilogy Love Actually Phantom of the Opera Pride and Prejudice P.S. I Love You The Princess Bride A lot of other random things I can't think of. ♥Random Facts♥ I'm old enough to have experienced my own bit of reality, but too young to believe fiction isn't a reality of its own.I may be an adult, but I still love to color. Granted, my objects of choice may be different than they were when I was younger, but coloring is an amazing thing that also happens to be relaxing. I care too much and over commit to things, spreading myself a bit too thin. Italian is my favorite type of food, but I don't like things with long noodles. I have often been accused, especially in reference to my reactions to movies, of being cynical and jaded. Fruit is heaven you can eat...basically. I'd take good, fresh fruit over sweets almost any day. I'm a walking, talking contradiction that isn't exactly easy to peg. It's part of life, most people are--I refuse to apologize for it. I don't bite, really. If there's anything you want to know about me, just ask. The worst thing I can do is give you weird looks (which you won't be able to see) and refuse to answer. [/size]

Thanks! You too! I can't wait to delve into some more human realistic roleplays! Granted, I will have to contain my excitement until after I catch up on all my summer schoolwork and get ahead so I have time to spend with Chelsee when she gets here for my birthday next week, but I will start soon!
I like your signature by the way. It amuses me, especially the text portion.
Okay, making myself shut up and go read Poe now.

I think I'm dreaming. Dare I believe you actually put both Idina Menzel and Phantom of the Opera as things you love? Finally another person to join the sparse few that share odd interests with me!! And you like Italian, which I am. I've got good feelings about you. ^^ Lol, hi, I'm Storm by name and nature. I look forward to roleplaying with you once Dell gives me back my poor damaged lappy.

And Princess Bride? You have just climbed right into my good book. ^^
Please don't let my spasticness worry you. My friends believe I have a mild case of ADD and a slightly more serious case of OCD. This I have been dubbed their ADOCD friend. That rambles. Shutting up now. Really.

I totally just did one of those little high school excited girly things with the clapping after reading that. And I actually used totally in a sentence. ' Eww. Oh well. I think you are officially my new best "I-don't-know-you online" friend. xD Do you have Idina's first CD or the I Stand CD or do you just know her from Wicked and the other musicals/movies she's been in? They all have completely different sounds so I must ask. And of course I like Phantom! It's only one of the best musicals EVER. I own both versions of the DVD (my love for Gerry Butler stemmed from his role as Erik), both versions of the movie soundtrack, the original Broadway recording, AND a completely awesome waterglobe of the mirror scene my little sister person I adopted in high school got me for my birthday a couple years ago. How could one NOT love the Princess Bride? Your spasticness doesn't even phase me, promise. (I hope that isn't a bad thing.) I'm the same way, except my ADHD runs a a little more rampant than the OCD part of me...but then again, whilst coloring, table-shaker is a four letter word. -insert guilty look here- My brother told me yesterday I had HDADHD. I don't pay attention often, but when I do it's crystal clear according to his theory. So, basically I have ADHD in HD. Then add a little bit of OCD to it and you just have a general mess. Go figure. Okay, I must stop now. I must go home so I can sleep so I can get up and be productive, wash clothes, and do homework I've been procrastinating on for a few days now. I know, me procrastinate? It's like saying fish live on land.

I loved Menzel in Wicked, and in Rent. I want her other stuff too, but so far my budget can't handle it. Soon, though, I plan on getting them. And yes, Butler was an amazing Erik. Few other actors could have done the part justice. It's inconceivable. lmao
Well, my ADD just makes it easy for my mind to wander away and forget that other people don't see and hear all that goes on in my head. And I'm easily distracted by loud noises or bright lights. As for my OCD, it drives all my friends crazy. I get a little testy when certain things aren't done a certain way.
Procrastination is a part of life. It's why I'm online and not checking the washer and dryer for clothes to put away. ^^;

Wicked is amazing! The book isn't great, but the musical is wonderful. Her "I Stand" album is good too. You should listen to some of it on YouTube. I StandBraveIndeed. Butler is amazing in general though. What about Emmy Rossum (she played Christine in the movie)? Do you like her? Mine does that to me too. My best friend is actually dubbed my translator at times. Televisions are evil to me. If something is on, I have to watch it, whether I want to or not. Silly bright, shinny, noisy, colorful thing. Oh, phooey. You just made me remember I need to go get clothes and put them away.

The book has some good things about it. It was also extremely depressing, but still. I read Son of the Witch, too. It was... odd.
Emmy Rossum did pretty good. I just don't like Raoul as a character. Idiot fops just annoy me. Erik wins, always.
I hate Spongebob, but if you turn it on the colors and lights make me watch. ^^

I haven't read either of the sequels yet. After reading the first, I'm not sure I want to continue on with them, though I'm sure I will at some point.
I like Emmy. She, too, has a solo CD out. It's different, and I have to be in a certain mood to listen to it, but I like it.
D= I liked Raoul! He was annoying at points, I will admit, but I liked him. Now, if they wouldn't have known each other before, I may not have liked him at all. That, however, is completely beside the point. I didn't love him, but he was what Christine needed, at least in my opinion anyway. Erik just wasn't a feasible choice for her, no matter how much he loved her or how much character depth he had. Then again, I am the realist. =|
Ugh, I'm the same way. I hate it, especially with shows like that.

I haven't read the third one yet, but I'm curious to see if some of the important characters from the second one carry over despite the drastic pov change.
I'll have to look into that as well, then. I've always preferred altos to sopranos, though, so my automatic opinion about some people is biased as far as that goes.
It's just his foppishness that I can't stand. He's a dandy and the only reason he won Christine is because Christine couldn't handle the life Erik wanted to give her. He loved her, totally, and that was the only reason he could let her go. Her happiness was put before his consuming desire for her. If Erik hadn't conceded and let her go, Raoul would never have succeeded.
I can feel myself getting more stupid when shows like that are on.

I'm curious to read the last two, but like I said, I just haven't been able to make myself yet. Maybe I'll get to them one day--maybe.
Emmy's solo work definitely resides more in the alto range. Well, at least from what I remember. I can't be biased either way when it comes to female voices though seeing as I'm 1st alto/ 2nd soprano myself...at least that's what my choir director used to claim.
Eh, I do understand your point with Raoul, but I do believe we're going to have to agree to not completely agree, though we don't really disagree with that one.
